Nexus Studio Training

Nexus programs are all based on the Asian philosophy of martial arts. Body, mind, and spirit are conditioned to work as one. Our training develops aerobic endurance, strength and flexibility. The programs also teach the virtues of discipline, self respect, honour, tradition and humbleness.

Our Hatha Yoga similarly allows students to increase their flexibility and strength, and teaches us how to be more relaxed under otherwise stressful situations.

Jiu Jitsu:

The most complete and effective Martial Art available. All techniques and drills have practical applications and theory, making them easy for all students to understand.

Kickboxing:

Combines elements of boxing, martial arts, and aerobics to provide overall physical conditioning and toning. Additional benefits include learning simple self defense movements and stress relief.

Hatha Yoga:

Hatha Yoga is a system of yoga introduced by Yogi Swatmarama, a yogic sage in the 15th century in India. This particular system of yoga is the most popular one.

Hatha Yoga tries to achieve balance between body and mind, as well as attempts to free the more subtle spiritual elements of the mind through physical poses (Asanas), Breathing Techniques (Pranayama), and Meditation.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu:

Allows a person of any size to take control from standing to the ground – without any type of strike – where tactial hold downs and submissions are applied. Taught by Sensei Cam Bokstein who trains under Jean Jacques Machado affiliates in both Windsor, ON and Hamilton, ON..

Traditional Boxing:

Training on heavy bags, speed bags and focus mitts, sparring within a full-size boxing ring.

Women’s Self Defence:

Learn techniques to recognize when and if you could become a target and strategies to defend yourself.

Little Ninjas: (2-4 year olds)

Program emphasis is on focus, balance, teamwork, discipline, control, fitness, memory, and coordination.
